The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is looking for self-motivated professionals with the right to live and work in Ghana to fill the following vacancies in Accra:

1.    PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
2.    FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
3.    MONITORING & EVALUATION SPECIALIST


UNOPS acts as a service provider to UN system agencies, funds and programmes, international and regional financial institutions, intergovernmental organizations, donor and recipient governments, non-governmental organizations, foundations and private sector organizations.  UNOPS is a central resource for the United Nations system in procurement and contracts management as well as in civil works and physical infrastructure development, including the related capacity development activities.

UNOPS acts as a Local Fund Agent (LFA) for The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (often commonly called "The Global Fund" or "GF") to oversee and monitor the implementation of the grant projects funded by the Global Fund in various countries.

UN Resident Coordinator's Annual Report

In 2013, the work of the UNCT was significantly impacted by the opposition rejection of results emanating from the December 2012 Presidential Elections. The main opposition party took this dispute to the Supreme Court and the case was eventually concluded in August 2013 confirming once again Ghana’s democratic dividend and stability.
