This report by UNDP analyses the gaps between the current status of mining sector governance in Ghana and the requirements of the African Mining Vision (AMV). The analysis points to the fact that Ghana has not been able to take full advantage of her resource endowment opportunities to make critical linkages in order to underpin diversification, growth & development. The report provides a roadmap to actualizing the alignment between the national policy, legal, regulatory, and institutional frameworks with the AMV, and the assessment of institutional capacity for carrying out the exercise should all serve as a reliable compass for making further progress from where the country finds itself today.
