2007 Ghana Human Development Report

May 5, 2016

The 2007 Ghana National Human Development Report was themed, “Towards a more inclusive society”. The report analyses the status of human development in Ghana and examines relevant indicators for measuring exclusion from it. It also examines the different manifestations of exclusion and reviews gaps to inclusion in various areas of national development.

The report identifies a number of areas where actions are needed in promoting an inclusive society in Ghana and groups them under economic, education, health, socio-cultural, spatial, legal and political dimensions. It also considers the exclusion of disadvantaged children and the elderly. The report calls for further research in the area of development and implementation of advocacy programmes as well as policy planning and implementation.
