Ghana Country Brief: Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC) 2014

August 1, 2017

This Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC) Ghana Country Brief seeks to provide a snapshot of the various processes, stages and outcomes of efforts to reform the development architecture in Ghana. It traces the antecedents of the reform agenda and discusses how Ghana has localized various global commitments in-country.

The brief is prepared as part of the process of promoting international learning by sharing the country’s own experience in order to contribute to the international dialogue led by the Global Partnership. In the spirit of Busan and Mexico commitments, it seeks to situate Ghana’s recent experience in the context of the evolving development landscape. It also seeks to shed light on the complexities of development cooperation in Lower Middle Income Countries (LMICs) such as Ghana.
