The 2004 Ghana Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Report, the second in the biennial series, assesses Ghana’s performance and progress towards the realization of the MDGs since the 2002 report. The report observes that whereas the country has made significant progress regarding the attainment of poverty, hunger and education related MDGs, progress towards achieving health related targets has been positive with regard to reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS but stagnated with respect to reducing child mortality and maternal mortality.
